Fractal Analytics shares jump 12% as AI firm's quarterly revenue tops $100m for the first time
Fractal Analytics shares rose as much as 12% on Wednesday, 4 November, after the Indian artificial intelligence company reported its first quarter with operating revenue above $100 million. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹820.75 on the BSE, against a previous close of ₹732.60.
Net income jumped 139% year on year to ₹79.2 crore for the September quarter of FY27, while consolidated operating revenue rose 20% to ₹956.5 crore, the company said. Adjusted EBITDA grew 71%, and the adjusted EBITDA margin widened 123 basis points to 16%. Revenue grew 10% in constant currency terms.
Growth was led by healthcare and life sciences, which rose 79% year on year, and banking, financial services and insurance, up 30%. Srikanth Velamakanni, co-founder and group chief executive, said AI models were becoming more capable and cheaper, opening the way for companies to put AI into critical business decisions.
The rally leaves the stock well short of its peak. Wednesday's close was still 27% below the 52-week high of ₹1,119.60 set in May 2026, and the shares are down 17% over six months, though up 13% in the past month. Fractal, which employs more than 6,000 people across North America, EMEA and Asia-Pacific, runs its business on its Cogentiq agentic AI platform and spends over 6% of revenue on AI research, including its Fathom reasoning models.
What it means for Pakistan: The result is a marker for Pakistan's own AI ambitions: Fractal's growth came from selling enterprise AI into healthcare and financial services, the two sectors where Pakistani banks and hospitals are beginning to buy automation. It also shows the scale of the listed-market valuations Indian AI firms can command, a benchmark Pakistani technology companies lack while none is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange. Any read-across for local investors is indirect, since Fractal's shares trade in India and are not open to most Pakistani buyers.
