Altcoins outpace bitcoin as Celestia jumps 16%, Warsh silent on interest-rate plans
Celestia, Injective and LayerZero led a broad altcoin advance while bitcoin held near $82,100, and Fed chair Kevin Warsh gave no signal on rate plans.

Altcoins moved ahead of bitcoin on Friday, with Celestia (TIA) jumping 16% and Injective (INJ) and LayerZero (ZRO) adding 7.7% and 7.3% respectively, according to CoinDesk data. Four in every five members of the CoinDesk 100 Index were higher, lifting CoinMarketCap's Altcoin Season index to 60 from 50 a day earlier.

Bitcoin was little changed since midnight UTC, trading around $82,100 after bouncing from a dip to about $81,600 at around 03:30 UTC. The largest cryptocurrency remains comfortably above Thursday's brief break below $80,000, its first in a month. Ether added 0.5% near $2,450, the CoinDesk 80 gained 0.46% and the bitcoin-heavy CoinDesk 5 held steady.

Broader markets steadied after Thursday's rout. South Korea's Kospi closed 2.05% higher and Japan's Nikkei rose 1.39%, while S&P 500 futures were little changed after the index snapped a three-day losing streak.

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh declined to signal the central bank's intentions for its meeting later this month, speaking at the IMF and World Bank meetings in Bangkok. According to the CME Fedwatch tool, the odds of an October interest-rate increase fell to about 15% from roughly 30%. Treasury yields were largely stable.

Separately, diversified real-world-asset stablecoins are sustaining yields of 5-7% from real credit as crypto funding compresses to around 4%, with the GENIUS framework pushing yield off-chain and the addressable market growing to $4 billion over three years, according to the source material.
