UBL takes Best Bank of the Year as CFA Society Pakistan honours its Rs 6.5 trillion deposit base

United Bank Limited has been named Best Bank of the Year 2025 in the large banks category by CFA Society Pakistan at its 23rd Annual Excellence Awards, a recognition built on a deposit base of Rs 6.5 trillion and a nationwide network of more than 2,200 branches.

The bank's scale underpins the award: a capital base of Rs 529 billion and a workforce of more than 35,000 employees, according to the bank. UBL also pointed to a significant female workforce and career opportunities for young people as part of its push on inclusive employment and broader economic participation.

The Best Bank title was not UBL's only recognition of the evening. It won the Best ESG Reporting Award 2025 and was named runner-up as Corporate Finance House of the Year for fixed income, covering January 2025 to June 2026, and runner-up for Best Digital Banking Services of the Year 2025 among commercial banks.

According to the bank, the spread of awards reflects performance across financial services, corporate finance, environmental, social and governance practices, and digital banking, and underlines its focus on institutional capability, digital transformation and new financial products for customers.
