OGRA revised ex-depot prices under the federal petroleum pricing mechanism, raising petrol to Rs393.86 and cutting high-speed diesel to Rs396.65 per litre, effective October 15.

The government on Wednesday increased the price of petrol by Rs1.20 to Rs393.86 per litre, while reducing the price of high-speed diesel by Re0.17 to Rs396.65 per litre, effective for Thursday, October 15, 2026. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority revised the ex-depot prices of petroleum products under the federal government's petroleum pricing mechanism, according to a press release issued by the Petroleum Division.

The Petroleum Division said the change was necessitated by global developments, including movements in Platts rates, premiums and incidentals. The revised prices are effective for October 15.

On Tuesday, the government had reduced the price of petrol by Rs2.71 to Rs392.66 per litre, while cutting the price of high-speed diesel by Re0.03 to Rs396.82 per litre.

Meanwhile, oil prices steadied on Wednesday after rising on an attack on the headquarters of Saudi Arabia's state-owned oil company and Iranian comments about new tactics deployed to target ships and keep oil prices high to influence US midterm elections. Brent crude futures were up 13 cents at $105.56 a barrel by 1325 GMT. US West Texas Intermediate crude gained $1.25, or 1.33%, to $95.39 for a more than two-week high.
