Jio Platforms shares closed at ₹1,419 on Thursday, up 27% against the ₹1,119 IPO price, a day before the newly listed Reliance Group company delivers its first quarterly results as a public company. The board meets on Friday, 30 October 2026 to approve unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter and half year ended 30 September, the company said in an exchange filing.
The stock listed on Wednesday at a 21% premium and has since climbed to an intraday high of ₹1,489.70. Seema Srivastava, senior research analyst at SMC Global Securities, expects revenue from operations of about ₹40,000 crore, up nearly 11% year on year and 3% quarter on quarter, with net profit and EBITDA each growing around 18% year on year and margins improving. She flagged average revenue per user as the number to watch.
Jio ended the June quarter with 533.3 million subscribers, including 285 million on 5G, and estimates put the base at 541.3 million for the September quarter. ARPU stood at ₹215.6 and is expected to rise to about ₹219, a sign of gradual monetisation from customer additions, heavier data use and migration to premium plans. Kotak Neo said investors will also look for guidance on future tariff changes, 5G usage, broadband expansion and enterprise services, with cloud computing and artificial intelligence as growth drivers.
Arun Kejriwal, founder of Kejriwal Research and Investment Services, said the stock's weighted average price rose from ₹1,360 to ₹1,410 on Thursday. He advised IPO allottees to hold with a strict stop-loss below the ₹1,358 listing price, adding that the shares could reach ₹1,500 if results meet estimates. The stock opened lower at ₹1,410.10 on Friday before value buying lifted it to an intraday high of ₹1,434.90 on the National Stock Exchange.
